Economic mobility for veterans and their families means having reliable income, stable employment, and the legal and financial security needed to move forward with confidence and independence. It recognizes that economic progress depends not only on work, but on removing legal and systemic barriers that can limit opportunity and disrupt stability.
For veterans, economic mobility includes access to meaningful employment, benefits and income supports, financial capability, and legal services that address issues such as employment rights, benefits appeal, debt, housing-related legal matters, and other civil legal challenges that impact economic stability. For families, economic mobility provides consistency, reduced stress, and protection from disruptions that threaten household well-being.
UVAN seeks partnerships that advance economic mobility by connecting veterans to coordinated workforce partners, legal aid providers, and benefits systems, and by helping navigate challenges that interfere with employment and income.
